Last week we talked about how geolocation is catching the attention of everyone in the industry. We mentioned that our own platform Fuse has the ability to implement this tool. Currently Will Vuong and I are working on revamping our demo application, Trident, and one of the demo campaigns showcased within will demonstrate this capability.
To better illustrate how the geolocaton tool works, we’ve designed the demo campaign around a hypothetical retail chain, Du Jour. Du Jour is a women’s fashion retail chain with locations across the USA known for its modern and classic chic style. The campaign would be based on an online promotion designed bring foot traffic into the shops with redeemable coupons for trying on the clothing. The promotion is based on an online style guide that allows the site visitor to put together an outfit for a specific occasion, with the guide offering intelligent recommendations.
The consumer would then put the items in a virtual cart and enter additional information regarding measurements. Geolocation comes in when the user is prompted to choose and confirm the closest store location to the zip code they had provided previously. The next page would lead them to a coupon that allows the shopper to redeem the deal at the store—that of which gives them discounts for trying and/or buying the clothing.
Keep posted for when we unveil Trident 2.0!
